Kathniel is the popular love team of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, while Jadine refers to the popular love team of James Reid and Nadine Lustre.

Jadine, which debuted in the big screen via Diary ng Panget in 2014, is a newer love team compared to Kathniel. Therefore it is expected that Kathniel will have more movies, thus will have bigger accumulated movie gross. To even the playing field, we broke down this battle into four rounds.

For the purpose of this showdown, we excluded movies in which the love team has only a minor role and/or cameos.

Kathniel's solo debut movie is Must Be... Love. The film was released in 2012 and grossed P113 million. Jadine's solo debut movie is 2014's Diary ng Panget: The Movie. The film grossed an estimated P120 million.

Kathniel's highest grossing film is 2012's Sisterakas which grossed P393 million while Jadine's highest grossing film is Beauty and the Bestie which earned a record breaking P529 million in 2015. But we will exclude both films in this round as there's a phenomenal box-office power at work and that's Vice Ganda. For this round, we will only consider their solo films.

Kathniel's highest grossing solo movie therefore is 2016's Barcelona: A Love Untold which took home P321 million at the end of its run. Meanwhile, Jadine's highest grossing solo movie is their debut film, Diary ng Panget, which earned P120 million in 2014.
